#35: Saiss aquifer

Description

The overexploitation of the Saiss aquifer is essentially due to agricultural uses, a sector which is currently in an important growth phase. It raises problems in terms of groundwater preservation but also in terms of coordination between these agricultural uses (which are quantitatively the more important) and drinking water provision which is affected in terms of quantity (lowering of the groundwater table) and quality (due to pollution caused by agricultural practices).
